Adaptive Equestrian Sports™
ADAPTIVE EQUESTRIAN SPORTS™ (Adaptive Riding and Adaptive Driving) are designed for youth and adult athletes with physical, visual, or intellectual disabilities seeking adaptive sport opportunities to develop independence, confidence and fitness through equestrian sports. Adaptive Sports Riding and Driving provide a recreational outlet for disabled athletes and can also serve as a training pathway for athletes wanting to build independent, competitive skills to pursue Para-Equestrian Sports, Special Olympics, or other adaptive equestrian sport tracks. Riders/drivers need to be independent of side-walking support and progressing towards independent riding/driving skills with no horse handler/AB Whip. Lessons are coached as 45-minute privates by nationally certified instructors with training and expertise in developing adaptive riding skills within a competitive sport orientation.
